Lincoln and the Longs

 This post name is taken from our Whatsapp group name of Lincoln and the Longs - Lincoln at the time covering Jim and Lady Lu, although they've since decamped and moved back to Scotland!

On a cold and grey January morning, Shannon and I headed up to Lincoln for a day with Jim and Yan.   (Mum and Amanda were due to come with us, but sadly had to cancel at the last minute.)   It was Shannon's first long(er) distance drive and she did brilliantly!

We had a wonderful day, exploring the city, exploring a couple of pubs, a lovely meal and then an early evening wander around the cathedral grounds.   A lovely day, although the only visit we paid there as Jim and Yan were soon on their way back to Greenock!

Seeds and Stuff - January 2023

 I love Hellebores.   I especially love that they're the only things flowering in January.   This one belonged to someone else and had self sown itself so I helped myself!   The owner didn't mind, they had thousands of them popping up everywhere she didn't need them!

Frost on the conifer is so pretty.

Bluebell bulbs taken from Mum's, as she also had way too many.

And sage and Sarcococca (Christmas box) taken from other people's gardens too, as they're too prolific.

I do love plants for free!
