Other People's Gardens - March 2024

 

It seems that every year Mum had a clear out of bluebell bulbs and this year was no different.   The sadness of it all is that Mum didn't get to see any more bluebells after spring 2024 and I really wish I had kept some of the bulbs now.   When I came to plant them all in the woods at Mill House, Hardingham, I counted up at least 250 bulbs, although they are taking a while to come through.   And at least I've got a couple of dozen of the bulbs which have popped up in plants I brought to Saham Toney from Mum's after we cleared her garden.

I'll always think of her when I see them.

Seeds and Stuff - March 2024

 The only real stuff happening in my garden at this time was digging things up and putting them in pots to keep for the house move - and subsequently going over to live at Mo and John's for a few months - or taking cuttings, again putting them in pots and trying to cultivate them so I could take them to either Mo's, or Mum's - who were both appointed custodians for my plants while we were living in limbo!

It was definitely a strange old time - normally, I'd be planning the garden for the months ahead, but none of that.  Not sure I even bought any plants this year!

Odds and Sods - March 2024

 Another strange month - trying to keep everything tidy.   Plenty of viewings on the house, but no offers.   It was really unsettling for all of us - the house was looking less and less ours as I was carrying on with the decluttering and packing, and every time we had a viewing, I had to get the boys out for a walk so the estate agents could show people around.   We had some really strange walks, at all times of the day, so our routines were completely out of the window!
