Hayling Island Holiday with Mum - Day 6

Day 6 was another lazy day for us - we had our swim first thing in the morning, before heading out to Bognor Regis for a paddle and a mooch.  It was so incredibly hot that we parked the car in a very shady and cool multistorey car park and left Domino in there with water and the windows down, while we headed off into the heat for refreshments and shopping - there was a market in Bognor that day, so we bought ourselves some cooler clothing!

Another lovely day.

Hayling Island Holiday with Mum - Day 5

Day 5 of our holiday saw us having a fairly relaxing day - we started off in Chichester for a mooch but it was so hot that we called it a day pretty early.   Mum then very kindly said she'd have Domino while I went to visit my friend Kim in Portsmouth.  Kim and I hadn't seen each other for about 15 years, so we had a LOT to catch up on!

Lovely day, lovely to meet up with friends and spend the day relaxing.

Hayling Island Holiday with Mum - Day 4

Another scorcher of a day and this time we were off to meet the Johnsons/ Betts in a tearooms near Selsey.   We had such a lovely week meeting up with friends and family - very lucky indeed.

Hayling Island Holiday with Mum - Day 3

After a cooling paddle at the beach - it was a VERY hot week - we headed to Sam and Simon's for a barbecue.   Domino disgraced himself immediately by nipping Simon, but they very soon became best friends.   Bloody dog!

Hayling Island Holiday with Mum - Day 2

Mum and I swam every morning - how lucky were we!   There was a lovely, usually empty, pool on site and we swam for an hour each morning before setting off to do whatever we were doing that day.   I knew that Amy and David were going to bring Holly (Domino's Mum) and Daisy over for a walk, so I shipped Mum off to go shopping with Sheila and I waited for the gang to arrive and have a walk with them.

After that, we all headed over to Sheila's for lunch and to sit in the garden which was such a lovely treat.   We were obviously all so engrossed in chatting, that the above is the only photo I've got of our gathering!

And later that day, when everyone had gone home, Domino and I found this wonderful gem of a walk behind the site.  So very very lucky.
