Sandringham Show

Back in July 2022, Mum and I went to the Sandringham show but didn't hang around very long as it was mobbed and it was very very hot!   It had been on my list to visit for ages and I'm glad I went, but I've been now and don't need to repeat the experience!!

January to July cardi

Shannon has such an eye for colour - for her first palette set with Blue Fern Yarns, she chose colours relevant to each month of the year and produced some amazing mood boards for them.  And of course I couldn't resist!    This cardigan is my favourite Yorlin style with the Flea pattern for the design and I used the first seven months' worth of palette colours.   It remains to be seen what I make with the remaining five months!

River Wye, Redbrook

We are so lucky to have the River Wye within a very short drive from the caravan, on the road to Monmouth.    And there are lots of pretty villages between us and Monmouth which we haven't really explored.   Redbrook is one of those villages and inspired many conversations about wishing to learn paddleboarding and going swimming in the evenings, but, of course, nothing has been done since!

Dad's Birthday Lunch Legacy

Just because Dad is no longer with us, doesn't mean that we won't be celebrating his birthday every year with a family lunch.   The plan is to visit as many of Dad's favourite pubs over the years as we can - and so we started with the Poachers in Bacton, which seemed so fitting as it was his first "local" and the scene of much madness and mayhem over the years!

Cheers Dad, Happy Birthday!
