Following my one day weaving course in August, I treated myself to a loom in September at the Southern Yarn Show at Newbury. It was a very extravagant present to myself, but I'd researched it for a while, got advice from my weaving teacher, contacted a supplier who would be exhibiting at Newbury, discussed it with them by email and then finally took the plunge and ordered one to be collected on the day. And then I was so terrified of it, that I wouldn't even get it out of the box for a few weeks! However, once opened, I absolutely fell in love with the whole weaving process, so meditative. Over the next few weeks I practised loads and had lots of colourful fun!
