Ganseys

Shannon's very successful business needed something a little bit different and special for the various yarn shows she sells at each year and so we came up with the idea of making some tiny jumpers to show off her yarns and how they knit up.   Having bought a gansey pattern from Sheringham Museum a number of years ago as part of their Gansey exhibition, we played about with it to make sure we could make them small enough to use up a 20g mini skein of yarn.   All with the permission of the pattern writer, of course, and, in fact, Shannon now sells these patterns and all proceeds go to the Sheringham Museum charity and the Lifeboats.

These are just a few of them - I've now made hundreds of them and they give me such a thrill to see them all hanging up on Shannon's stand - and she gets so many comments about them which is lovely.
