Dragons Day 2

After Saturday's dragon marathon (could that be dragathon?), Mary and I had just a few to track down on the Sunday - we only had half a day anyway as Mary was getting the train home early afternoon.  And we certainly took our time - lots of sitting down looking at scenery, and drinking coffee.

We started at Carrow Road where we found Ashman outside the Norwich City football ground.

And we had our first selfie of the day with him!

Then we were off to Riverside for Falkor.

And the duelling dragons outside the cinema.

From here, we walked along the river to Bishop Bridge to find Birdie.

And then it was just a short stroll to Pulls Ferry to find Raptorsfire - possibly one of my favourites.

From Pulls Ferry, we walked back towards the station along the river and stopped for a coffee while we sat outside and did some people watching.  We found our last dragon of the day at the railway station - Bittern and Wherry - named after our Norfolk railway lines.

Such a brilliant weekend with Mary - although I do feel very bad about making her walk so far around Norwich, given that she wasn't feeling very well - sorry Mary!

(This wasn't actually the end of the story - as I spotted another dragon later in the week - in Marks and Spencer of all places.  I sent a photo of him to Mary but owned up to not having made a note of his name - Mary luckily had her dragon sticker book to hand so could tell me he was Aurelia!)

September Flowers - 2015

Although the weather has turned, there is no sign of flowers dying away - the roses are doing beautifully at the moment and there's still lots of colour in the garden.

The fuchsias are also looking beautiful at the moment.

The geranium has started to re-flower.

And, strangely, the primroses are all out again!

There are cobwebs all over the garden too - and I regularly have to have a shake down to get rid of any wildlife I gather up in my hair as I walk past them!

The alpine garden is looking beautiful at the moment and there are lots of babies which I'm hoping to re-home into new pots to extend this addition to the garden.

Finn has also been appreciating the garden - it does make me chuckle to see him sniffing the air - not so much for the flowers but to work out what all my neighbours are cooking for their tea!

Odds and Sods - September 2015

September has been full of domesticity - a nice steady month with not too much drama.   It's feeling properly autumnal with dark early evenings and the heating has kicked in too.  The windows are pretty much all shut now and I've even started the Christmas shopping.  It's that sort of month.  I've got a new 'phone which explains all the selfies in this post - needing to try the camera function out.  And I'm very happy to report that it seems to be air brushing me which is fabulous - why didn't I get one of these 'phones years ago?!  And I've got a new haircut and new specs too - must be something in the air!

Even Finn seems to be feeling the cold and has been much more snuggly than usual.

I love this photo - Finn is enormous but still thinks he's compact enough to sit on my lap!

One day I WILL get the hang of this camera!

Seeds and Stuff - September 2015

This is a bit awkward - I had no idea that I'd done so little in the garden in September!  I was well aware that I hadn't sewn any seeds, but it appears that all I've done is harvest stuff.  But I have managed to not even take any photos of that either!

My freezer is currently full of plums, apples and blackberries, and I've been eating cucumbers and potatoes like there's no tomorrow.

Must try harder for October!
