Seeds and Stuff - July 2021

My garden is always so green, which I love, with pops of colour - intentionally or unintentionally!   These beautiful flowers were actually leeks - which I'd forgotten to harvest and which then went to seed and flower.   I'm going to leave some leeks to do this forever now as they're gorgeous!

Odds and Sods - July 2021

July 2021 was a tricky month - Dad had been getting more poorly and ended up in hospital again - we had planned a birthday party for him and his care home had very kindly agreed to let us all in to see him - masks on of course due to Covid.   And the home had even made him a birthday cake which was so kind of them.  However, on the morning of Dad's birthday - 4 July - Dad had another fall and sustained a head injury, which meant a trip and a stay in hospital, and we couldn't see him.   We raised a cup of tea to him and had his birthday lunch at Mum's and supported each other.

Other than that, it was a very quiet month - just endless drives over to Swaffham to see Dad, and to North Elmham, to support Mum.   Consequently very few photos were taken in July - hardly surprisingly.

Marshes - June 2021

We are so lucky to have this amazing space so near to home that we can reach on foot within ten minutes.  In the summer months, we tend to go walking in the evening or early morning to avoid the crowds, as Domino can get very anxious around people.   And also he loves a swim and the river is always full of kids and wild swimmers.

I know I'm really bad at writing these posts up in a timely fashion, but the bonus of writing them so late is getting to look at the old photos of Domino, and see him growing up.

June in Pilning

Domino and I had a bit of a mini holiday down to the caravan in June 2021, before it got really hot and before the summer holidays when it's absolutely heaving down in Somerset!
