Sheringham Scira Festival

Back in February 2019, Shannon and I headed to Sheringham to catch up with Rat and Pam, and head out to the beach, along with the world and his wife!   The occasion was the finale of the Sheringham Viking week - the Scira Festival where a long boat was carried through the town in a torch lit procession, taken to the beach and set on fire.  Think Up Helly Aa, but in North Norfolk!

We had ages to kill so went and found ourselves a spot, took some beer, and had a lovely time, chatting, singing, dancing, putting the world to rights and generally taking the mickey out of each other.   Perfect evening!   (This is the evening where a Fair Isle hat was officially renamed a "feral hat" - Shannon is brilliant!)

A fab afternoon and evening, finished off by a portion of chips on the way home. Perfect!
