Secret Cornwall - Crackington

 Crackington is so near to where we were staying at Widemouth, that we visited a couple of times during our April trip although the first visit was just to get our lunch from the beach cafe!

I love these rocks on the beach at Crackington - I'm a wee bit obsessed with them and take photos every time we visit!

We were very lucky one late afternoon to see the young rescue crew out practising, and were very happy to sit on the beach and watch for a while.   

Secret Cornwall - Boscastle

On a very grey day in April, Amanda and I drove a little way along the coast from our caravan to Boscastle - primarily to find gluten free pasties in the bakers, but also to have a little wander in the fresh air.

Mission accomplished!

 

Secret Cornwall - Bude

We were so lucky with the weather for our April holiday in Cornwall, and there were some really beautiful beaches within a very short drive of our caravan, including the beaches at Bude.

Because we went so early in the year, the holiday makers hadn't yet arrived, so we had the beach practically to ourselves.

I think Amanda and I really needed this break - somewhere that we know quite well so didn't have to really think about or research.
