Rampside

On the day that I walked to Rampside and towards Roa Island, Finn didn't walk with me - he had a rest day with Amanda.  So when they met me, I felt it only right to take Finn back to a wonderful beach I'd walked along earlier in the day, so that he could have a lovely run and a paddle.

Grange Over Sands

 I do love Grange over Sands.   On one of our days, after Finn and I had walked for the day, we met Amanda in the town afterwards.  Finn had walked more than enough, so was left in the car with chews, water and his bed, and Amanda and I had a mooch around, taking in the views and having a coffee.

It's such a pretty little town with some lovely, independent shops.   And all with the background of Morecambe Bay and those hills!

Haverthwaite

 Because of where our caravan park was situated, we had to drive through Haverthwaite every time we needed to drive anywhere, and one day it was evident - from the number of coaches in the car park at the Haverthwaite railway - that an event was happening!   A train!  We literally parked the car in the car park and then ran to the platform to welcome this train in, and then out!

I do love it when we have these impromptu little adventures!
