Back in August, Mum and I had a day at the North Elmham Festival - it runs over the bank holiday weekend and Mum was to go back the other two days with Amanda and Dad! That's what supporting your local community means! It was incredibly well organised, but has been running for a while now. Last year's was cancelled because the weather was awful, but this year they really went to town, with a flower festival, walks up the church tower, and soft toys being thrown over the parapets and zip-wiring down to the green below. No, I don't know why either!
I'd never been in the church before but was really impressed by how lovely and light it was. And entertainment had been laid on also by jazz musicians.
Mum and Dad had made a donation to the church flowers, in Auntie Joyce's name.
I went for a walk up the tower while Mum sat and people watched at the entrance to the church. Now, I'm not scared of heights, and I've climbed plenty of hills, but this tower did for me - I got really jelly legs on the way down and my legs were really hurting for three days afterwards!!
