The game was fabulous with a real local historical feel. We had to ensure that the wedding of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn went ahead, despite all the hazards and misinformation we were fed along the way! Henry and Anne's faces were depicted on church kneelers and, as we worked out the clues to the puzzles we were given, we were allowed to move the kneelers further up the church pews with the ultimate goal to get them to the altar. What a blast!
We really didn't have any time to take photos of the game itself, so intent were we on getting the happy couple to the altar! But we managed to do it with EIGHTEEN SECONDS to spare!! EIGHTEEN SECONDS!!! It was actually hilarious, with various of us running around the church like headless chickens to try and find answers. Nicholas won it for us though - he has a very orderly brain, so had (without instruction) re-ordered a shelf of books in the vestry to the correct chronology, which was actually a very vital clue towards the end of the game. Genius! Such a brilliant game - we all thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't stop chatting about it afterwards.
Absolutely brilliant day - and a very nice lunch in the pub afterwards too. We should do stuff like this more often.
