Plant Lovers' Fair Frenzy

At the end of May, Mum, Dad and I headed off to South Creake for the Plant Lovers' Fair, where, if possible, I managed to spend more this year than I did last!

Almost immediately, I spotted the cercis siliquastrum which was top of my plant wish list ...

I've wanted one of these for over a year now - I'd spotted it on TV last year when it was featured quite heavily at the Chelsea Flower Show.  I knew exactly where it was going in the garden so treated myself.
I had to go back to the car four times with plants as we couldn't carry everything we bought.  For myself, I had ten plants in all - including strawberries, alpines and primroses - all of which were on my shopping list which I kept producing to prove to Mum and Dad I wasn't straying! Mum and Dad did well too - it was mostly their purchases that I had to keep taking back to the car!

This makes me laugh - Mum's clematis was so tall that it had to go in the back with Dad.
A very successful day!
