Thompson church is very impressive and in an amazing setting with beautiful views out over the fields.
We got slightly lost on the way there and I guess we should have known that we were in the right place - the farm machinery outside the church - considering this was the Harvest church - should have given it away! (Forever known now as a hombine carvester, thanks to Shirley!)
Thompson was the largest church so far on our jaunt so it fell to reason that it would have the biggest exhibits. However, nothing prepared us for this church - everything about it was absolutely stunning and, for once, I think I'm going to let the photos speak for themselves.
What a name!
The attention to detail in this exhibit was outstanding and, if I'd been a knitter, this is definitely the one I'd have least liked to be involved in - it looked beautiful but it was all way too fiddly for me! I think this was the church I loved the most though. I have so much admiration for the knitters involved - I bet their joints aren't as arthriticky as mine are!
Of all the churches, this felt the most like a shared community project. Outstanding. (And still two more churches to go!)
