Knaresborough

In a bid to stretch our holiday out just a little bit longer, we had a stop in Knaresborough in Yorkshire on the way home - ostensibly for a leg stretch for Finn and Sid, but wool (as usual) played a part!  A few years ago, we visited Knaresborough on one of our holidays and Amanda had befriended the owner of the Knitting Pretty wool shop, so we felt it only right that we pop back to see her!

To be fair, we found a parking spot right by the castle above the river and it was a perfect spot for the boys to have a bit of a walk and a wee - and we enjoyed the views looking down on the railway arches and over to the weir.
So, this marked the end of our mini holiday - four days is clearly not long enough, but we did pack quite a bit in.  A longer holiday would have meant we'd have more time for relaxing certainly - something that neither of us are particularly good at.

A lovely holiday and it wasn't long after we got home that our next one was booked!
