Ely

It's amazing how quickly something becomes a tradition - two years of the Ely Christmas fair and we've already got it in our diaries for this year!!

This time Mum and I went on our own and I think I bought even more this time - not all of it for other people!

Ely Cathedral is such a magical building anyway, but, with the sun coming through, and all the festive candles, smells and music, it's breathtaking.

After we'd had our fill of festive-ness, we headed into the city for a little mooch about - it was very cold, but very bright on the day we went.  Ely is quite compact and easy to get around, but very charming.

We found a fabulous old fashioned sweetie shop so Mum could take something home for Dad.

I really ought to go and visit one day in the summer!
